Respiratory Diseases
Every breath that a human body inhales or exhales so nonchalantly is an absolutely miraculous process performed by the respiratory system continuously. The organs that make up the respiration system of human beings include the windpipe or trachea, lungs and diaphragm majorly. But whenever there is a problem in the respiratory system which can be classified into various respiratory diseases, it hampers the supply of oxygen within the human body. Effects of respiratory diseases can include chest pain, irregular heartbeats and hindrance in motor functions as well.


Respiratory diseases are classified under different names depending on the problem associated with the respiratory system. The majorly known and encountered respiratory diseases include –

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
The effect of this disease include heavy problems with breathing. The cause behind COPD is observed to be exposure to harmful gases which damage the lungs. It is one of the most life-threating diseases. -
Asthma
The cause behind asthma is the deformation of the windpipe. The windpipe gets swollen or narrowed due to accumulated cough and other reasons. Although the causes of asthma can differ from person to person. In some cases, asthma attacks are caused due to airborne allergens like dust mites and pollens.

EmphysemaIt is a medical condition where the air sac or the alveoli gets damaged or ruptured. The result is that the patient is not able to exhale the air out of the body properly. This also detriments the inflow of fresh and oxygenated air.

Pleural Effusion
The other name for this disease is also ” water on the lungs”. It is a condition where unnecessary fluids accumulate between the pleural layers. The ill effects involve acute pain in the chest and breathing difficulties -
Chronic Bronchitis
This term refers to the inflammation in the breathing tube or the bronchi. The inflammation results in the production of excessive mucus in the airways. The damaging effects of this disease include severe chest discomfort along with the urge to heavy cough.
